IMPORTANT PET HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

At Razzle Dazzle Pet Salon & Daycare, the health, safety, and well-being of every pet and team member are our highest priorities. To provide a safe grooming environment, we ask all clients to carefully review the following policies.

Medical Conditions & Senior Pets

Pet owners are responsible for informing our staff of any known medical condition, illness, injury, disability, medication, recent surgery, behavioral concern, or any other health issue that may affect their pet during grooming services.

Senior pets and pets with pre-existing medical conditions may be more susceptible to stress, anxiety, fatigue, physical discomfort, or other complications during the grooming process. Grooming can be physically and emotionally demanding, and even routine procedures may aggravate existing health conditions or reveal previously undiagnosed issues.

While our staff takes every reasonable precaution to ensure the comfort and safety of each pet, Razzle Dazzle Pet Salon & Daycare cannot be held responsible for complications, injuries, illnesses, medical emergencies, or death resulting from age-related conditions, pre-existing health issues, undisclosed medical conditions, or a pet’s inability to tolerate the grooming process.

We love old dogs! We will do our absolute best to provide comfort grooming to your elderly pet. We choose comfort over vanity in all cases involving elderly pets. If your pet is unable to stand, we will do what we can, but cannot guarantee the most beautiful haircut or that he/she will be dried all the way. We will do our best and there is not a discount unless we are unable to do anything.

We do groomer consultations at every drop-off. It is your responsibility to let us know of any important changes in the health of your pet. We promise to let you know if/when we notice anything such as moles, skin issues, lumps, or other visible concerns on your pet while they are in our care.

Aggressive or Difficult Pets

Pet owners are required to disclose any history of aggression, biting, snapping, excessive fear, anxiety, or behavioral issues prior to grooming services.

Failure to disclose aggressive behavior may place our staff, other pets, and clients at risk. Owners are fully responsible for any injuries, damages, veterinary expenses, medical expenses, lost wages, or other costs resulting from their pet’s aggressive actions.

For the safety of everyone involved, our staff reserves the right to refuse, stop, shorten, or modify any grooming service if a pet displays aggressive, dangerous, or unsafe behavior.

Right to Refuse Service

Razzle Dazzle Pet Salon & Daycare reserves the right to refuse service to any pet when grooming is deemed unsafe due to health concerns, aggressive behavior, excessive stress, or any condition that may jeopardize the safety of the pet, our staff, or other animals.

We will also send any dog home that shows signs of potentially injuring himself while being kenneled. This may include chewing the metal grate or attempting to eat the plastic cage tray and/or name tags.

We appreciate your cooperation and honesty in helping us provide a safe, professional, and comfortable grooming experience for every pet entrusted to our care.

Vaccination Policy

Razzle Dazzle Pet Salon & Daycare requires proof of rabies vaccinations for all clients, including walk-in clients. It is your responsibility to email, upload, or bring them to us.

Vaccination records may be sent to [hello@razzledazzlepetsalon.com](mailto:hello@razzledazzlepetsalon.com).

Grooming Policies

We do not offer free-range grooming. For the safety of your pet and our staff, all client dogs will be kept safe and comfortable in a kennel. Some exceptions apply.

Health and comfort over vanity. We will not brush out an extremely matted dog. It is inhumane and very painful for your pet. If you don’t keep up with brushing and/or regular grooming appointments, we will shave your dog with your prior authorization.

You will be charged $10 if we need to use flea shampoo on your pet, with your prior authorization.

We offer a 2-hour express service for $25. That is the only time we give a guaranteed grooming turnaround time.

We cannot guarantee the outcome of processing color on your pet. We will do our best to meet your wishes. There are many variants that come into play, including our use of vegetable-based dyes, the natural color of a dog’s coat, as well as the texture of the coat. We do not offer refunds on the color.

We no longer express anal glands and/or pluck ears automatically with this service. If you wish for your pet’s anal glands to be expressed or ears to be plucked, please select that add-on option on our appointment form.

Appointment & Pick-Up Policies

Please be on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment.

If you arrive at your appointment after the 15-minute grace period, please call to avoid unexpected changes.

DAYCARE FEE: We charge $10 for not picking your dog up within 2 hours of receiving a phone call, voice message, or text that your pet is ready.

We charge $50 for picking your dog up an hour after we close.

We charge a boarding fee per day for leaving your dog at Razzle Dazzle Pet Salon & Daycare after one hour of closing if you do not respond to our call. Your dog will be available to you the next business day.
